The workhorse Swiss automatic chronograph, introduced in 1973 and now made by ETA, using a cam-actuated (coulisse) chronograph with the classic 12-6-9 tri-compax subdial layout and a day-date at 3. It beats at 28,800 vph with around 48 hours of power reserve and is used by brands from Tudor and Sinn to Hamilton and Oris.

The Laco Hockenheim is an automatic chronograph watch, with a 42mm stainless steel case, 14.15mm thick, powered by the Valjoux 7750 movement and a 40-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 100m, under a sapphire crystal. Manufacturer MSRP is $2,400.
