A Seiko (TMI) quartz caliber with a high-frequency stepping motor that drives a smooth four-beats-per-second sweeping seconds hand instead of a single tick. Battery-powered and accurate to about ±20 seconds per month, it gives quartz watches a mechanical-style sweep at low cost.
